Tell Congress: Keep Antibiotics Out of Our Meat

An incredible 70-80% of antibiotics used in the United States are administered on factory farms.

Because of this, each year nearly 2 million Americans get infected with antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and at least 23,000 of those people die. These drugs should be used to treat illnesses, not to compensate for unsanitary conditions. If we don't take action, the steady stream of low-dose antibiotics in factory farms could create the next drug-resistant superbug.

Our lawmakers can help prevent these tragedies from ever occurring in the first place. Two bills in Congress, PARA and PAMTA, would restrict the use of antibiotics on factory farms.

Sign the petition and demand Congress pass sensible legislation to curb the gross misuse of antibiotics on factory farms.
